Milton G. Walker
Milton Walker, born 1875 in Hope Township, was the proprietor of the Peterborough Bicycle Works and an expert bicycle machinist. He was the best local cyclist of the 1890s He won the Midland and Peterborough cycling championship four straight years (1894 to 1897); finished third in an 1897 trophy race in Quebec and won a 20-mile handicap road race in Cobourg.
