M.J. (Joe) Dwyer

Joe Dwyer succeeded Ernie Wasson as the area’s premier hockey goalie from 1912 to 1926. He was selected for the OHA Junior All-Star team in 1913 and tended goal for Sarnia when they won the OHA Intermediate title in 1916. In 1926, the Peterborough Senior team won the OHA Championship. Dwyer backstopped the team that also featured Frankie Collins and “Ace” Bailey.  Joe had a short stint with the 1927-28 Kansas City Pla-Mors of the American Hockey Association.
