Chris Graham
Noteworthy in the 1897 season, was the first appearance of 125 pound, 17-year-old Chris Graham, who would go on to have a diversified and lengthy athletic career in hockey, baseball, lacrosse, football and boxing. Graham was a fine hitter and the first really good catcher that Peterborough had – a position he played from 1899 to 1910. He boxed as a bantamweight from 1900 to1904, won trophies for Hackney Driving from 1925 to 1932 and was an Honorary Life Member of the Peterborough Golf and Country Club. Graham, along with Ernie Wasson, Rollie Glover and Fred Whitcroft, were stars on the 1906 Intermediate team that won the OHA Crown. After retiring as an active player, Chris Graham became an executive member of a number of local hockey and football clubs.
