Manon Rheaume Visits PDSHOF
Manon Rheaume visited the Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame Thursday, January 7, 2015. Manon is pictured standing in front of Andria Hunter’s Team Canada sweater and gold medal. They were teammates winning IIHF World Championship gold medals in 1992 and 1994 . Manon was in Peterborough to lend her support to the “Faceoff Against Dementia” fundraising campaign.
Manon Rhéaume, is a former goaltender with the Canadian Women’s ice hockey team. An Olympic silver medalist, she achieved a number of historic firsts during her career, including becoming the first and only woman ever to play in a National Hockey League exhibition game.
