Condolences to the family of Sensei Paul V Brown

After committing more than 65 years to the teaching of Judo to the Peterborough community, Sensei Paul V. Brown has passed away at the age of 88

Brown, who was inducted into the Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame in 2004 in the builder category in the sport of Judo, was himself a competitor, master instructor of the YMCA Hatashita Judo Club (earning him the “sensei” title), referee, and was a regional administrator for the martial art. He held a fifth degree black belt!

From his induction biography: “He has tirelessly promoted Judo, not only as a method of self-defence but also as a way to develop discipline, self-control and confidence.”
