Tribute paid to City recognizing 150 years of lacrosse

The Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame was proud to host the celebration of 150 years of Lakers lacrosse as members of the executive of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame was in town Friday to recognize Peterborough’s many lacrosse greats who are enshrined in the CLHoF.

Based in British Columbia, the CLHoF executive are touring major lacrosse centres in Ontario. Matthew Black presented a “Scroll of Honour” to Tim Barrie, reading “The Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame Honour and Pay Tribute to Peterborough Lacrosse on the Celebration of 150 years of Lacrosse 1878 – 2022 for Outstanding performance in Sport Achievement as Community, Organizations, Teams and Individuals”

PDSHOF inductee Jimmy Wasson created a video showcasing Peterborough and area lacrosse players who have been inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
