It is with sadness that we share news of the passing of Gerry Armstrong, long-time Peterborough Memorial Centre usher and friend of the Sports Hall of Fame. Gerry died July 29, 2026. He was in his 94th year.

Always happy to greet “his regulars”, and meet new guests at the Memorial Centre, we have Gerry’s uniform on display at the Hall of Fame in fond remembrance.

A funeral service will be held Friday, August 28th, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Church on Wilson Street in Peterborough at 11:00 AM. This will be followed by inurnment at Little Lake Cemetery.
