Jack’s Annual Golf Tournament to be held May 21st, 2014

Doug Gibson announced this year’s 28th annual Jack’s Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame golf tournament, set for Wednesday May 21, 2014, during a press conference last night at the Memorial Centre.

This is the 18th year the tournament will be hosted by Bob and Jan Dixon at the Pine Crest Golf & Country Club. The tournament is limited to a field of 220 golfers and tee times can be confirmed by contacting the Hall of Fame at 705-743-6897.

The registration fee has remained at $175.00. This includes breakfast, 18 holes of golf including a cart, on-course snacks, lunch, a social at the Evinrude Centre followed by dinner catered by Franz’s Meat Market. The silent auction at the Evinrude Centre will feature items such as a Corey Perry signed Olympic sweater, a sweater signed by all of hockey Team Canada, and a Carey Price sweater as well as many other fine items including a pair of Petes Season Tickets, a Ripple Kayak from Adventure Outfitters and Paluski Boats, skis from Tom Parnell’s Ski Shop, a barbecue smoker from Flannigan’ Butcher Shop, a Friendly Fires barbecue package, and gift certificates from Jack’s Restaurant.

This tournament, a major fund-raiser for the Hall of Fame, supports our bursary program for high school student/athletes and the ongoing operations of the Hall.
