World Masters and Pickleball Medalists!

Congratulations to John Kasperski who competed in the World Masters Championships held in Gothenburg, Sweden in August of 2024. In the M80 class, John won the silver medal in shot put (3kg) throwing a season best of 11.12.
John was inducted into the Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. His full induction biography can be viewed here.

Both Nancy Sharpe (inducted in 2002) and her daughter Tara Sharpe (inducted in 2018) had success at the National Pickleball Championships held in Bedford, Nova Scotia this past month. Nancy competed in the Mixed Doubles Skill 3.0 winning a silver medal, while Tara competed with her son, Cole Lester, in the Mixed Doubles Skill, 3.0 and under, winning a gold medal.
