35th Annual Jack’s Golf Tournament a HUGE SUCCESS!

After a wild weather weekend in the Kawarthas, Jack’s Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame Golf tournament went ahead as planned at the Quarry Golf Club in Ennismore, much to the relief and enjoyment of golfers, volunteers, and staff members at the Quarry Club!

We have so many people to thank for their support of our event:

Kudos to Doug Gibson and his golf committee for another outstanding event. A lot of behind-the-scenes work goes into the preparation and planning of an event this big. Great job!

Kevin Carter and his staff at the Quarry bent over backwards to ensure that our entire day ran smoothly, so a huge ‘shout out’ to the team!

There is no way that our tournament could run without the countless, LONG hours put in by our more than 40 volunteers. THANKS VERY MUCH for your enthusiasm, your time and the smiles you helped put on the golfers faces.

We are grateful for the continued and ongoing support of our sponsors. We have been able to keep the entry fee at $175 per player for years because of this generous support. Although too numerous to mention, each and EVERY SPONSOR is very much appreciated! Their names are listed on the photo below. They were also posted around the each tee box and green for all golfers to see.

And last, but not least, to the players who have continued to fill our draw sheet for the past 35 years (yes….we still have a waiting list!!), thank you for continuing to play, support our mini contests, our silent and live auctions. The Hall of Fame bursaries and operating costs are the direct beneficiaries of your generosity.

This year we placed a memorial banner to remember long-time tournament golfers who have passed away.

Congratulations to our individual and team winners listed below:
