Remembering John (Jack) Mackness
The Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame extend condolences to the family of John (Jack) Mackness. Jack, an accomplished Peterborough athlete, passed away on March 7, 2016. His key accomplishments were in hockey, at the playing and coaching levels and in executive roles. Jack was recognized by the CAHA “for outstanding service to minor hockey.” He was also an outstanding softball player, being recognized with several awards over his four decades of involvement.
