Remembering Rock Batley

The Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame extend condolences to the family of 2013 Inductee Rock (Robert) Batley. Rock, an accomplished athlete, trainer and official passed away on April 1, 2014. His greatest athletic accomplishments were in lacrosse, playing on 10 Eastern Canadian Championship teams and winning 3 Mann Cup championship titles. In recognition of these achievements Rock was inducted into the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1998.

Rock gave back to his sporting community through his involvement as an official in hockey, broom ball, softball and floor hockey.

Our thoughts are with Rock’s family at this time.
