Remembering Gus Leonard 1920 – 2018

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Gus Leonard, a member of the Peterborough & District Sports Hall of Fame since his induction in 1993.  Mr. Leonard passed away on Thursday January 11th, 2018 at the age of 97.  He was the second oldest living inductee.
Inducted for his prowess in hockey, baseball. rugby, running and softball, Gus will be remembered for the generous time he gave back to the Hall each Tuesday and Thursday morning, (as recently as January 10th!) and for the many stories he was able to share with the folks who gathered around the table.
Our sincere condolences to his children, Mary-Jo, Linda Lee, Bill and Greg, his extended family and his friends.
It was our absolute privilege to have known Gus.  Mr. Leonard was a true gentleman and will be missed!Gus01
